Chivalry of a Failed Knight (Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry)

(This is my opinion – I’m not forcing it onto anyone; this post is made from my thoughts and personal opinions, nothing else.)

There are a few spoilers, don’t say I didn’t warn you ^-^

The Fall 2015 season is turning out to be a really good season (at least for me). We have a great series that is achieving a lot of success really quickly – One punch man; we have continuations of other series – Owarimonogatari & Yuri Yuri San Hai; and we have other series that don’t exactly fit in any of these. Today, I’ll be writing about the Chivalry of a failed knight (in Japanese, Rakudai kishi no cavalry) which is currently on it’s 8th episode and turning out to be… well, no big deal.

This particular series caught my eye on the season listing, and it was talked about before it started. Everyone went on and on about how this was gonna be the boring, same as always harem/action/ecchi series. And god, it is. The first two episodes were half interesting but the plot is getting really pathetic, and here is why.

The incest – Now days, this pretty much attaches to most series out there. Goddamnit. Where did we go so wrong? Why would you do anything like this, Japan, making innocent little girls have any kind of attractions for their older brothers who they grew up with, and have the same blood running in their veins? But worst of all – why would the brother notice and don’t move a finger about it?!

Lame MC – Kurogane is the lamest of the lame MCs – I mean it. It’s the usual immortal, unbeatable MC. He always acts like a really sensitive, good guy, who (supposedly) only has eyes for his girlfriend Stella. Except he keeps getting hit on by several girls and guess what – he doesn’t do anything about that either. He doesn’t do anything about anything, really.

Weird characters – I have no idea what that teacher that keeps getting nosebleeds is doing there. It’s getting so annoying that every episode, in one way or another, we see that goddamn teacher getting a nosebleed. What’s the point in that? I’m guessing they thought it’d be pretty funny to have a random chick getting nosebleeds over nothing (?)

The op – I’m not gonna lie, the opening is probably the best thing about the series so far. It’s great, I honestly love the song and the animation for it. But it’s got absolutely nothing to do with the series. It reminds me of the Mirai Nikki opening, and it gets you pumped up, but then… god.

cosmicsakae: the beginning

Well, sounds the least interesting.

This is the beginning of my website, cosmicsakae, which will feature anime shit only. I plan to do small entries only, stuff I find funny, stuff I find stupid, probably season first impressions, season roundups and just have fun! My goal is to share my opinion while having fun. Sounds effective, right?
